AKA Pit Bull Rescue is a small organization of pit bull lovers. We consist of shelter workers, animal control officers, and general lovers of the breed. We are experienced with the breed and strive to only put the best of the best into the public. We do home visits for everydog as well as criminal background checks. This can make our adoption process a little longer than some. Please be patient with us. We do not rehibilitate dogs that have been used for fighting.

Hoosier Great Dane Rescue, official affiliate of the Great Dane Club of America, is an organization dedicated to the placement of neglected, abandoned, or otherwise unwanted Great Danes into loving and permanent homes. Before placement, all Great Danes are spayed/neutered (no exceptions), current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive, and free of any other parasites. Temperaments are evaluated to be sure the dogs can and will become good family members. New adoptive families receive any available medical history, including dates of all vaccinations. New adoptive families are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing that their new Dane will be kept indoors as a housepet, and agreeing that they accept all responsibility for their new pet. Hoosier Great Dane Rescue is funded by adoption fees and donations. 100% of the adoption fee goes directly to offset medical expenses, as well as costs for food, paperwork, phone calls, ads to help place dogs, etc.

We are a county run Animal Control Facility that is trying for the first time to start an adoption program. We are a small shelter with only six kennels. The positive side to being so small is that we get to know our animals pretty well. The negative side is that we can fill up quickly. We are VERY rescue friendly and will help with transport to recognized non-profit rescues when we can and within reason.
