We operate in two locations - Guyton, GA (just west of Savannah) and Seale, AL (just west of Phenix City). Although SCDR focuses on purebred rescue, there are sometimes mixed-breed dogs available for adoption. Most of the rescued dogs are selected from the local high-kill, animal control shelter. Dogs are also turned over to SCDR by owners who, for various reasons, are no longer able to keep them.

Our vounteers rescue many dogs from local shelters and foster them in their own homes until a suitable forever home is found. We do not shy away from taking sick or difficult dogs into our program. Thanks to donations, we are able to provide excellent medical care for all of our little orphans.

We accept cats and dogs on a space-available basis and operate on a no-kill philosophy: we do not kill healthy pets to make room for incoming pets. We foster these pets in one of our foster homes until they are ready for adoption. All pets must be healthy, spayed or neutered, and fully vetted to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting one of the pets listed, please contact the individual foster home listed on each pet page

This fee includes spaying/neutering, vaccines, combo testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV (cats) or heartworm testing (dogs), and deworming. They are all current on heartworm and flea preventative. Southeast Pug Rescue Adoption, Inc. was formed in 1990 to aid in placing lost, surrendered or abandoned pugs in loving, caring homes primarily in the Southeast. Although, we will take *any* pug in need from any place. we also have affilaite groups in Alabama and Missouri. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3), not for profit organization dedicated to our pugs. SEPRA will take any and all pugs regardless of age, health and/or temperament, and also takes pug mixes. Our pugs come from a variety of avenues including shelters, surrenders, and even found wandering down the streets. All pugs are placed in foster care with dedicated volunteers for evaluation and vet-work, which includes: shots, spaying/neutering and treatment for any illnesses, if necessary. We've had many come through with heartworms, hip problems, eye problems, broken limbs etc. We will treat all. Due to this, there is an adoption fee to help recover the never ending vet bills (donations are also gladly accepted as well.)
