Save the Kitties Inc RescueSAVETHEKITTIES, INC is a non-profit grass-roots rescue group comprised of volunteer Feline compassionates from all over the country, who work diligently towards efforts to remove abandoned kittens/cats from high kill shelters for placement in comfortable, deserving homes. We are not in the "cat" business. SavetheKitties, Inc organized out of the Katrina animal relief efforts to decrease the massive numbers of healthy kitties up for euthanasia weekly and provide these unfortunate kids with a chance, as all life deserves. Second Chance FarmThe name "Second Chance Farm" about says it all. We care for all kinds of animals who come to us under many different circumstances. We limit our intake of animals to those critters who truly have no one else to look after them. So please do not contact us in hopes that we can take in your own animals or those that have come under your care. We have VERY limited space and unfortunately, there are enough "owner-less" critters out there to keep us quite busy! Most of the animals that come our way are healthy and happy from the start ... but some require medical and/or surgical attention before they are healthy enough to go up for adoption. Our goal is to give these deserving critters a SECOND CHANCE at finding a loving and permanent home. Animals that are not considered "adoptable" (due to medical conditions) stay at Second Chance Farm indefinitely - where they receive necessary medical care for the rest of their life. All of our animals up for adoption are healthy and happy, on flea & heartworm prevention, spayed or neutered and are up to date on vaccinations. Many of the cats currently in our care are from rescue situations and are now in a volunteer foster network. We currently do not have a shelter building but house all of our cats in the foster network.
