R U F FR.U.F.F is a group we formed after meeting all the wonderful dogs and puppies we have taken in and saved from being Put to Sleep... We started out as a Breed Rescue only taking in Pitbulls and Bully type breeds... Now we rescue all breeds but still Specialize in Bully Type Breeds. We pull mainly only from High Kill shelters in Areas of Florida that need the most help. Putnam County is the 2nd poorest County in Florida. For the past few years I have focused my rescue on this area and Levy County.. We have made a tremendous difference in getting other rescues involved and saving lives.. but that is just a start we need to educate on the awareness of Spay/Neuter and animal abuse in this area. HELP US HELP THEM! RUFF Welcomes Gilcrest County into our Hearts. I made a visit to this shelter recently... It is THE worst Shelter I have ever seen... With the Help of the community and Animal lovers such as yourself RUFF is ready to take on the task of helping improve this shelter and the lives of the animals of Gilcrest County. Raining Cats and Dogs, Inc.The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them. Some were even rescued from the effects of dangerous hurricanes. Unfortunately, we are currently NOT taking in any new rescues due to lack of space and finances. We bring our dogs to PETsMART on Glades and 441 in Boca Raton. We have a representative there Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4 pm. Raining Cats and Dogs will gladly come to you if you are interested in a specific dog. Rocket Angel Italian Greyhound RescueWe are a NOT for profit, hometown, private organization, specializing in adoptions, owner surrenders, and placements in 4 Ever homes. We operate completely on donations and personal funds. We are now partnering with IGCA Florida Chapter ( Italian Greyhound Club of America) a Not for profit 5013c National Organization. This will give us the strength and publicity we need to help more IG's and create more happy families! Our purpose for exisitng is to HELP owners with the difficult decision to surrender their pet. No matter what the reason, WITHOUT judgement, and without a FEE. We then try to find the perfect match for the "furbaby" with a new 4 Ever home. This is a process which is done by having the prospective parents fill out an adoption application and allowing us to do a home visit, to be sure that the dog will be a candidate for adoption in to the new family. This part of the adoption procedure is a safe guard for the dog as well as the applicants, to be sure that everyone is amenable, including any existing animals. We will also willingly take back ANY animal for ANY reason, if , in the unlikely event, things do not work out as expected. ALL of our animals come VET checked, SHOTS, ALTERED, and DENTAL , if needed. Adoption Fees cover the expenses incurred from rehab/vet expenses, and vary upon the individual dog.
