Supplies for your new Dog
Miami-Dade Animal Services is a standalone department within Miami-Dade County Government. We are primarily charged with the responsibility of enforcing Chapter 5 of the Code of Metropolitan Dade County. Unlike private shelters that have limitations on the number of pets they accept, we accept all animals at the Animal Services shelter. No pets are turned away, and each year, the shelter impounds more than 32,000 dogs and cats. Due to the tremendous pet overpopulation problem in Miami-Dade county, our shelter is constantly overcrowded -- WE NEED ADOPTERS! Most of the rescue groups that you find in Miami, Florida, rescue pets from our shelter, so the pets that they are adopting out have come through us, first. Our goal is to find lifelong homes for as many animals as possible and to provide proper care for them while they’re at our shelter. We also educate the public about pet overpopulation and responsible pet ownership, and we offer low-cost vaccinations and free spay/neuter services for the pets of Miami-Dade county residents. We need you to work with us to find loving forever families for the pets at our shelter!! Please don't give up on them!

Mid Florida Sheltie Rescue
Save a Sheltie The goal of Sheltie Rescue of Central Fl is to help Shetland Sheepdogs who turn up in shelters, are found lost on the street, are no longer wanted by their owners, or whose owners can no longer care for them. We seek to prevent the euthanasia of any Shelties. To avoid this, we place Shelties found in shelters or elsewhere into foster homes where they are cared for as a member of the family. They are then more likely to be successful when the right adopting family is found, because they are accustomed to a home environment rather than a kennel environment. We also diligently search for possible owners of lost Shelties, while our foster Sheltie lives in one of our foster homes. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all "homeless Shelties", most of whom have been badly neglected and/or abused, are placed in permanent, loving homes as a special four-legged member of the family.

MOE-JOEs Family Friends Rescue Inc.
Mo-Joe’s Family Friends was founded in 2005 by Melissa Benfield, who witnessed countless bully breed dogs being over looked in shelters because of their breed type, while their great personalities were ignored. We are a no kill, non profit organization operated solely by donations and the help of volunteers. We are a bully breed rescue, which includes American Pit BullTerrier, Bull Terrier, English Bull Dog, and the French Bull Dog, but even though the bully breeds are our focus we always rescue the animals who have no chance at life, including other breeds of dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, and well you name it and most likely we have rescued one. All of our animals are in foster homes, where they are kid, cat and dog tested to insure their future homes are a forever home. All of our rescues were saved from certain death from local high kill shelters. Our animals have over come being homeless, emaciated, covered in mange, broken bones, abused, tied to trees and even some have survived parvo. They are up to date on all shots, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and healthy at the time of adoption.

The Nassau Humane Society has contracted with the City of Fernandina Beach to provide the city residents with "Humane" Animal Control. We feel that animal control is much more than just enforcing the animal control laws of the city, which include but are not limited to,the Leash law, the Restraining law, and the License law.

Since our formation in March, 1994, the National Greyhound Foundation Inc. has not taken a stance on greyhound racing, track operations, greyhound breeding, adoption program policies, rescue policies or any other position regarding the greyhound industry.
The fact remains that thousands of greyhounds are retired each year that are no longer competitive. Our goal is to educate the public and potential adopters on the nature of these gentle, loving dogs and get them adopted into loving homes.

The National Humane Society will work to assist and motivate shelters to decrease and eventually eliminate euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats. N.H.S. will work to assist in other locations and with groups throughout Florida and the Southeast in pursuit of the same goals.

Shelter | Advocacy |
New Hope Sanctuary for the Animals is a rescue, haven, and adoption organization for abused, tortured, and abandoned innocent animals and pets. We are based on the Christian principles that God intended humans to follow as guardians of His creation. We are a not-for-profit welfare, protection, rescue, rights organization dedicated to the compassionate care of stray and abandoned cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, litters, and farm animals (chickens, pigs, etc.). We encourage people to adopt and provide kind and loving care for a cat, dog, kitten, puppy, or litter, as well as to promote humane population control through spaying and neutering. We are involved in direct action in rescuing and placing animals within a network of animal groups across the nation, and in increasing public awareness and education about the abuse, torture, factory farming, slaughtering, butchering and the murder of innocents, and the need to spay and neuter. Through the media, special events, and publications we promote anticruelty, love, compassion, mercy, respect, and kindness towards all animals, animal theology, and compassionate alternatives to animal products.
