We are a small, private, no-kill, non-profit rescue dedicated to rescuing and re-homing abandoned animals who need and deserve new, loving forever-homes. We work out of foster homes and do not have a shelter facility. We do not accept "owner-turn-ins". Please do not email asking us to take in your pet due to moving, allergies, etc. We only generally rescue animals who are living on the streets or whose "time is up" (they will be euthanized) at municipal pounds. Adoption fees will vary from animal to animal, depending upon how much we've had to spend on the animal's care. For instance, animals who come to us already spayed/neutered will have a smaller adoption fee than those for whom we had to to pay for spay/neuter surgery. While some adoption fees may seem high, please note that we do not "make profits" on the animals we rescue and adopt out. Usually we SPEND more than we MAKE BACK from our adoption fees. The main purpose for charging an adoption fee is to help us partially off-set the costs incurred by the housing, the feeding and (especially) the veterinary care of our rescues. Your adoption donation helps us to help more animals in need!

Our ultimate goal is to teach "Responsible Pet Ownership" through public education. We speak frequently at local schools, daycares, libraries and civic groups. We believe that by educating our youth at an early age we can prevent future mistreatment and abuse of animals. We focus on "Bite Prevention", 4.7 Million people are bitten in the United States each year. The most common and most severe bites are to children. Educating children on the proper way to approach a dog is just as important as the proper care and treatment of a dog.

We are a group of Labrador retriever lovers throughout the United States who are committed to finding good homes for abandoned Labrador Retrievers. Due to the popularity of Labrador Retrievers, many wonderful Labs have been discarded in shelters around the US and are desperate to find new homes. Labs4Rescue is dedicated to saving labs and finding them new homes in New England. We arrange transportation for each of our labs. Labs4Rescue has adopted over 5,000 wonderful pure bred labs and lab mixes to CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, and VT. Labs4Rescue evaluates each dog and will allow adoption to families that understand the commitment necessary to provide the dog with the best home possible. We are committed to permanent placement and will accept a dog back for any reason if you are not satisfied.

Cause For Paws is a small rescue group serving the Durham & Middlefield towns in Connecticut. We currently trap - alter - release adult feral cats in Durham and Middlefield - using an in-home volunteer foster care system, we socialize and place kittens in new permanent homes. Because we take these kitties into our homes we cannot take in adult cats and focus solely on the feral & strays from the towns of Durham and Middlefield.
