Animal Rescue Fund

Our mission is to provide funds for the emergency treatment of injured or sick animals that are stray, abandoned, or of unknown owner. ARF also provides transportation (on a case by case basis) for injured or sick animals requiring emergency treatment. In furtherance of our mission, we provide educational support and instruction in the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Animal Rescue Fund adheres to, and supports, spay/neuter programs. We also support local, state, and national animal protection laws.

Animal Welfare League of New London County, Inc.

We are not a shelter. We have operated a shelter in the past and had to close the facility. All animals were placed in foster care pending placement in permanent homes. We have members that actively rescue strays and you will find several of their rescues on our pet listing. We assist those in need with emergency veterinary care for their animals as funding allows. We support spay/neuter efforts as they are absolutely essential to the long-term health of both sexes of our companion animals.

Bandits Place

Currently animals are housed in foster homes. Training classes for new adoptions are also part of our future plans and we hope to have an actual training center next to the kennel... Bandit's Place would also hope to, at some point, acquire a transport van which would enable us to rescue animals in a more efficient manner.

Beagles Etc.

We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to saving homeless dogs whose only fault is not having a home. Many of our dogs come from high kill shelters all over the South and East and do not stand a chance of getting adopted where they are. Due to over crowding they can be put to sleep at any time to make room for the never ending amount of stray and owner surrenders that come in every day. Our mission is to save these dogs, one at a time and give them a second chance for a happy life. We do not have a shelter or a kennel, most dogs are fostered in private homes.
