FOTOS Dog RescueFOTOS Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization, run by a small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue and placement of companion dogs from the Oakdale Animal Shelter in Stanislaus County, California and some owner surrenders in surrounding areas of the East Bay. The Oakdale Animal Shelter consists of 12 kennels and is only open 90 minutes a day Monday through Saturday. Foundation for the Care of Indigent AnimalsThe Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals is a small, nonprofit, all volunteer organization that takes in small "adoptable" dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. Normally, they are under 20 lbs. Often they have medical problems, most of which can be reversed by our veterinarians. Our fees range from $100 to $250, which covers spay or neutering, vaccines, worming, and some part of any medical expenses; not all are licensed and some are microchipped. Friends For Life Animal RescueFriends for Life Animal Rescue attempts to provide a bridge for animals from homelessness or abandonment to their forever homes. As we do not have a shelter, we cannot take in large numbers of animals. Our programs seek to serve the community by assisting individuals in finding new homes for animals they can no longer care for, stopping the births of unwanted animals and providing off site adoption events where our foster animals and animals belonging to private individuals are available to meet and greet potential adopters. Our foster programs provide loving homes for animals with wonderful foster people who work with the dogs or cats to provide socialization and rehabilitation as necessary while we search for great placements.
