Animal KindWe are a not for profit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of abused and abondoned cats and dogs. We have been operational for 13 years and have placed thousands of homeless pets. Our dogs are in a free range sanctuary where they eat, sleep and play together. Some are in foster homes, day care or other boarding facilities. Because of the way the animals are housed we generally know who is housebroken, food aggressive, dog aggressive, mellow or hyperactive. All our rescues are examined by a vet, dewormed, vaccinated, neutered or spayed. We also pay all or part of medical expenses for any rescue adopted with a pre-existing condition. The dogs listed here are only a small sampling of the dogs at our sanctuary. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DOBERMAN PINSCHER RESCUEWhile Rita rescues mostly Dobermans she rescues other big dogs because they are the hardest to place. "But most all of the dogs are Dobermans, that's where my heart lies." says Rita. She is also a foster mom for the local Humane Society for common wild birds.
