We are a group of friends dedicated to mixed breed dog rescue primarily in Lake County, and also all of northern California. Our mission is to help decrease the pet overpopulation problem in Lake County. Occasionally we have other animals available for adoption — purebred dogs, cats and kittens, barnyard and others

We are a small, no-kill, Tax Exempt REPTILE & Exotic Bird Rescue. We receive animals from Sheriff & Fire Dept. Personnel, Veterinarians, BLM, Fish & Game employees and County Animal Control Officers. Some of these animals have been hit by cars or off-road vehicles, maliciously used for target practice, munched by dogs or cats and some have simply been abused or released inhumanely by irresponsible owners. Many of these unfortunate creatures are emaciated from starvation or dehydration, often diseased and, occasionally downright dangerous to handle.

Care provided includes prescription medicine, surgeries (with spay/neuter surgery included for those not yet altered), diagnostic testing, & special food. Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We have dogs as well as cats available for adoption.

Adopt-A-Chow LA was formed to help rescue and place the huge number of Chows in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in taking Chows with the nicest personalities and placing them in good homes. Not only do we provide rescue but we also educate about the Chow Chow Breed and have a community out reach program. The Chow Chow can be very mis-understood so we like to educate and show first hand how wonderful this breed truly is. We specialize in the Chow Chow but also do rescue all breeds of dogs. We try to help any dog that may be in need. We are an all volunteer, Non-Profit organization. (501-c-3 non-profit)
