Kitty and K-9 ConnectionWe are pleased and excited to announce that we have obtained our 501 3(C) non-profit status.Our special focus will be to help provide pet placement services to local senior citizens to ensure their pets find loving homes if placement is required, or to provide temporary, discounted boarding services. The majority of pets in rescue are fostered in our homes and there are three of us. Fairbanks North Star Borough, Division of Animal ControlThe Division of Animal Control is made up of trained personnel and is equipped with five radio-dispatched vehicles. It operates out of the animal shelter located at 2408 Davis Road, maintaining regular business hours. After regular business hours, an Animal Control Officer can be reached through a dispatch service which forwards emergency calls involving animal bites or injured animals. The Division of Animal Control provides the essential services of animal care, rescue, and control for all domestic animals including livestock. All inquiries concerning wildlife are referred to the Department of Fish and Game. Animal control personnel field all complaints concerning animal problems and answer all inquires concerning lost and found animals.
