Concordia Animal Welfare Shelter RescueWe are a non-profit animal welfare agency with a no-kill goal. No-kill means to us that we will euthanize no healthy, adoptable animal. We will strive tirelessly to achieve this goal and we will not be happy with less. " To Communicate, to Educate & to Motivate" This is how we will achieve our goal. As much as we wish to be an agency that does not have to euthanize healthy adoptable animals at this time it is impossible. In order to be a no-kill facility an agency must limit the number of animals admitted. Once full, animals are turned away. We feel it is important to never turn an animal away. Doing so would ensure they would be dumped in the woods to starve or worse. Here with us they will be assured a safe and most importantly a loving place if even for a short time. Currently we are housing all animals in what will be our adoption building. We received a $15,000 grant for our kennel building and along with the $20,000 we just recieved we will be able to complete the kennel! We really need individuals with carpentry experience, plumbers etc. Any amount of time or advice would be truly appreciated. Foster families can help us save lives. Animals that move into foster care for a short time 2 weeks -a couple of mths free up space in the building for another animal. Please consider this rewarding experience. Humane Society of AvoyellesThe HSA is a newly formed group dedicated to providing the best possible care for as many abandonned and abused animals as resources permit.
