Doggone DogsDoggone Dogs of S. Florida is a no kill, non profit 501c3 dog and cat rescue. Originally a Sheltie rescue, we quickly expanded to include all dogs, no matter their breed, size or even infirmity. Large, small, young, old, deaf, blind, if they were unwanted or unloved, they were welcome. It was only a matter of time before we expanded even more to include cats and kittens. As a non profit organization, our animals rely heavily on the wonderful people who donate their time to help us run our rescue. We are always in need of more foster homes, supplies and volunteers to staff our adoption site. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help our animals, please contact us. Cockers in NeedWe are a small group of concerned individuals, trying to help out a few cockers in need. Our goal is to rehab the ones that can be rehabed, and find them the perfect home, through careful screening and checking references. We require a home visit, a vet reference, as well as an adoption fee. Rest My Paws, Great Pyrenees RescueRest My Paws, Great Pyrenees Rescue, operates in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. We have a Georgia Department of Agriculture shelter license for the rescues. Thus, our adoption territory is within the state of Georgia, concentrated in Atlanta and surrounding counties. Due to adoption conditions, we do not take in dogs or adopt out dogs too much beyond beyond a 2-hour drive from Atlanta. Our primary focus is the Great Pyrenees and any special needs dogs. We support all efforts to reduce overpopulation of our animal friends which decreases euthanization. Pet Friends of North GeorgiaPet Friends of North Georgia is an all volunteer non-profit NO-KILL rescue group based in Chickamauga, Georgia. All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated with flea control before adoption. All dogs have been tested negative for heartworm and are currently on heartworm preventative unless otherwise noted. Each animal has a sponsor who will be glad to talk with you in detail about their animal's individual personality and preferences or needs. We are committed to matching animals with adoptive families that are perfect for each other. We are pulling these animals from a local kill shelter that kills more than 95% of all animals. Practically all are pulled just before they are euthanized.
