We will not purchase dogs from puppymills or owners. Our adoption fee is $250 for purebred Bostons Terriers, although this fee may be partially waived for senior or special needs dogs. All animals are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, housetrained, and evaluated before placement. Preston County (WV) Animal ShelterThe Preston County Animal Shelter is a municipal animal control facility located in Kingwood, in northcentral West Virginia. We are the only animal control facility in a large, rural county. Space is limited and intake is high, so pets often do not remain very long. We are not a no-kill shelter, and our adoption rate is approximately 40%, with puppies and toy breed adult dogs having the highest adoption rate, adult dogs over 15 lbs., cats, and kittens having the lowest.
