Arden's ArcArden's Arc is an all breed dog rescue specializing in dogs with special needs. In general, special needs means those dogs who may have physical, mental, or emotional issues. In most cases, these are the dogs no one else wanted. We have rescued and placed dogs with chronic diseases, orthopedic problems, fear aggression issues, as well as normal aging issues just to name a few. Of course we wouldn't turn away a dog simply because she doesn't have one of these special needs. Secluded Hearts RescueAfter many years of dedicating my time, life, money and heart to the cause of animal welfare and rescue, I've made a decision to stop. Soon, my family and I will be relocating to the Western part of the country and I will no longer be involved with animal rescue in any capacity.If you have ever adopted a dog from us, please know that the adoption agreement is binding for the life of the dog. This means that if you can no longer keep the dog - he or she must be returned to us. We will still honor this agreement, and expect you to do the same. However, this does not mean you are responsible to get the dog to us out West. We can still have a local rescue volunteer pick up the dog in Maryland. In the meantime, our dogs are still looking for great homes. Because of my decision to stop doing rescue, our dogs need to be placed quickly into screened, loving, permanent homes.
