Scottish Terrier Rescue of Southern California is a volunteer, non-profit organization, dedicated to finding loving homes for Scotties who become homeless in Southern California. We help any Scottie in need. Our rescue and adoption program provides temporary foster care and medical attention, if needed. Before placement in a new home all Scotties are bathed, groomed, spayed or neutered, and are current on vaccines.

Our shelter is a very small facility that has been located here in Scottsboro for over 20 years. We have a very limited number of runs and that only allows us to keep animals for 7 days. We have a very high euthanasia rate and would like to improve adoption rate. Our shelter does not have a waiting list , we try to place our dogs in the best possible homes. We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered , have shots and a heartworm check from our local vet before the adoption can be processed.

We are an all-volunteer animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for dogs, cats, and the occasional rabbit found in Seal Beach. Because we are a humane, pro-life shelter, we keep healthy, adoptable animals until we find a new home for them.
