Saginaw Animal Control is dedicated to providing prompt, courteous and professional service to the citizens of Saginaw, Texas. Our primary goal is to prevent and eradicate rabies. We strive to educate the public concerning local and state laws designed to promote animal owner responsibility. We protect the public from stray and dangerous animals. We provide service to the public (and animals) through impound of strays. We also handle all other animal related calls. We issue warnings and citations as necessary. We investigate and prosecute cases of animal cruelty and abandonment. We continue advanced education and training for animal care personnel and control officers. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the need to euthanize healthy, surplus, unwanted animals.

We have an average of 20 to 35 dogs at any point of time, and an average of 5 to 15 cats. We have kennels and large cat house's for the cats,so no body is caged up. That way they have more room to stretch their legs. We try to spend as much one on one time with each of the cats and dogs so they become more social. We rescue healthy animals that will be euthanized due to running out of time to find a new home.

Our organization is dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for every adoptable animal in our shelter. We do not use euthanasia as a way of shelter population control. Rather, we use every avenue available to quickly "move" animals from a shelter environment. We accept all animals brought in by the City of Georgetown, and Georgetown County Animal Control personnel, and we will accept other animals as space becomes available or if a determination is made that the welfare of the animal is in jeopardy

dedicated to all the animals abused, starving and neglected. May God touch lightly the soul of an animal we did not rescue in time. The ones that may never have known a kind word or a warm bed and loving human. We are a small rescue operating out of our home. We hope you enjoy the photos and stories of our animals. Most of the animals will remain with us for the rest of their lives due to age or illness
