We operate an "all breeds" pet rescue and adoption program. We do not operate a shelter and never euthanize a healthy animal. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes until they find good adoptive homes. We have no paid staff, this is an all volunteer organization. While this gives our pets a more caring environment, it also limits the number of pets we can take into our system at a time. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.

It is our expressed goal to rehome homeless dogs into forever-homes. RAD Rescue is a foster based program. The dogs in our program are kept in foster homes where they can receive one-on-one attention, and learn how to behave in a normal home environment. Most of the dogs in our program are "only fosters", which means there is one foster dog in each foster home, we do not believe in "warehousing" our dogs in crates. Our volunteers are hard-working, dedicated people who strive to make a true difference one dog at a time.

Reign & Hail Sheltie Rescue is a nonprofit volunteer organization that helps unwanted or abandoned Shelties. All Shelties are given necessary veterinary care, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and their temperament evaluated. All adoptive homes are carefully screened to ensure the best possible match. Fenced yards are a requirement for the safety of our dogs. Reign & Hail Sheltie Rescue is directed by Ellen Felix. We serve the Berks County/Reading, PA area and surrounding counties.
