Rainbow Bridge Can Wait Animal Rescue and AdoptionWe are a small no-kill rescue working towards educating the public about Spay and Neuter we also want to educate our community as well as the surronding communitys about humane treatment of these wonderful companions. Your adoption fees go to the care of the dogs, with them another life can be saved. Sadly Oklahoma has a 95% kill rate. Our local pound does not kill to make room they destroy the animals after 3 days, if the owner does not claim them or they are not adopted. They will not hold the dogs for me if my shelter is full, so I can pull them into rescue! Please if you are not interested in those on death row look at our adoptable pets, maybe you can make room by adopting one of our other companions. Rainbow RescuesRainbow Rescuers visit kill shelters to identify adoptable, healthy dogs with good dispositions that will soon be euthanized, usually simply due to lack of space at the shelter. The dog is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and groomed. Often dogs with special medical needs are treated and rehabilitated before adoption. Raining Cats and Dogs, Inc.The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them. Some were even rescued from the effects of dangerous hurricanes. Unfortunately, we are currently NOT taking in any new rescues due to lack of space and finances. We bring our dogs to PETsMART on Glades and 441 in Boca Raton. We have a representative there Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4 pm. Raining Cats and Dogs will gladly come to you if you are interested in a specific dog.
