We are a new nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote and improve the welfare of animals in Phelps County, primarily through support of the Rolla Animal Shelter. We are not formally affiliated with the shelter, nor receive any funding whatsoever from the city. However, many of our board members volunteer or visit the shelter on a weekly basis. Some projects we are hoping to implement this year, given sufficient funds:

Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association (PACCA) is the City of Philadelphia's contracted animal control shelter. Taking in almost 30,000 animals each year, PACCA sees the greatest number of homeless, abandoned and orphaned animals in our area. When you adopt your new best friend from PACCA, you are truly saving a life that may not have had a chance without your kindness.

Oh Master take this oath for me: "I do solemnly swear to accept the responsibility for the animals put in my care. To tend to their basic needs of food and shelter. To minister to their ailments. To put their well being before my own, if need be. I swear to treat them with respect. To always remember that we have made them dependent to us and therefore have put their lives in our hands. As God as my witness."

Who We Are
Pick-A-Pet Adoptions was established in October, 2003. We are a non-profit organization established under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Our goal is to reduce the number of animals euthanized in Chattooga County and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to assisting homeless pets find their "forever home". We do not have a shelter (we are a home-based rescue) therefore all animals are placed in foster homes until the "purr-fect furever" home is found.
