Lone Pine Ranch Animal ShelterLone Pine Ranch has been a non-profit 501(c)3 shelter since May of 2003.The shelter currently has approximately 85 dogs and 44 cats. As mentioned in an above section, we operate primarily from donations. We also are in great need of volunteers and foster homes. Our volunteer base currently consists of 4 -5 people and we only have one foster home to place animals that may just need a little socialization (TLC) before being adopted out.916 W. Lone Star Basset Hound RescueLone Star Basset Hound Rescue is a non-profit organization that depends entirely on volunteer work and donations. Our mission is to help homeless or abandoned Basset Hounds in the Greater Houston Area find "forever" homes and reduce the number of abandoned Basset Hounds through public education. As much as we'd like to immediately accept every Basset Hound into the organization, we depend on volunteer Foster Families and cannot accept more than we can foster. Our first priority must be the Bassets whose time is up at the local animal shelters. They require our immediate attention to save their lives. Lone Star Bulldog RescueWhat is Bulldog Rescue? At Lone Star Bulldog Rescue we accept Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them and retrieve Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. We then rehabilitate them before placement by providing necessary medical treatment as well as spaying and neutering all dogs that come into our care. At this point we thoroughly screen applicants before making placement decisions as well as informing interested adopters about rescue and our requirements. Then we place Bulldogs in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible so they can start their "new lives" quickly. Lone Star Labrador Retriever RescueABOUT US Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to preventing the needless destruction of Labrador Retrievers by: rescuing them from shelters providing sanctuary for them in temporary foster homes providing appropriate medical care (including spaying and neutering) finding responsible and loving permanent homes for them. Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue will, when possible, assist Good Samaritans who have found stray Labradors and will also assist owners, who for a wide variety of reasons, feel they must find a new home for their Labrador. Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue is also committed to educating the public about responsible dog ownership. We believe that responsible pet owners spay or neuter their animals, keep them on an annual vaccination program, provide heartworm and flea preventative on a year round basis, provide basic training, and maintain their dogs as inside members of the family rather than as outside yard dogs.
