Dallas-Fort Worth Dachshund Rescue FoundationWe concentrate our efforts on those dogs who are scheduled for euthanasia. We have limited spaces and resources and try to save those resources for the dogs who truly need our services. Owners who have dogs that they need a secondary home for are also provided assistance but in a different manner. Because we feel that the owner knows the dog best and is therefore the best to place that dog, we assist owners by offering a free listing service. Through this listing service, we match up people who need to place their Dachshund with someone who is looking for a Dachshund. We are completely non-profit, and considered a charitible organization. Our main goal of course is to rescue mainly Dalmatians from shelters and abuse/abandonment situations and find them loving permanent homes where they will never be unwanted again. Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa BayDalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay will save as many Dalmatians as possible from area shelters (from Citrus County to Sarasota) that are scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of room or health issues or pull those that are in dismay due to being in a shelter environment. We assist area shelters in placing Dalmatians through ongoing advertisements in local newspapers. Prospective owners are thoroughly screened with home and veterinary reference checks. We house 20 Dalmatians at our care-for-life sanctuary who are unable to be placed due to age and/or medical conditions. We provide ongoing support and education to all adopters.
