Chessie Rescue VA, Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in need in Virginia and placing them in permanent, loving homes. We support and encourage the efforts of clubs, organizations and individuals to rescue adoptable, purebred or mixed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers from animal shelters, owners who can no longer care for their dogs in a responsible way, or strays found wandering at large. Our goal is to educate the public on responsible dog ownership including spaying and neutering of pets, and to inform prospective Chessie owners of the special qualities, characteristics and requirements of our breed before they acquire a Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Paws for a Cause, Inc, is a newly formed, sec.501(c) (3) non-profit-No Kill sanctuary. We have been rescuing, spaying, neutering, and providing a home for countless animals for over 20 years. We presently care for 39+ previously homeless dogs and cats, with little assistance from "outside" sources except for the Grace of God.. I started listening to people who told me to "follow my dreams" and create a Sanctuary that represents my commitment to a NO KILL NATION? This is my calling-This is my life's work.. ."

Lone Star Basset Hound Rescue is a non-profit organization that depends entirely on volunteer work and donations. Our mission is to help homeless or abandoned Basset Hounds in the Greater Houston Area find "forever" homes and reduce the number of abandoned Basset Hounds through public education. As much as we'd like to immediately accept every Basset Hound into the organization, we depend on volunteer Foster Families and cannot accept more than we can foster. Our first priority must be the Bassets whose time is up at the local animal shelters. They require our immediate attention to save their lives. If you are interested in contributing in any way at all, please contact us!
