ASAP reached our initial goal of completely eliminating unnecessary euthanasia at the San Luis Obispo County, California Animal Shelter. From 2001, when thousands of animals lost their lives, to 2002 when San Luis Obispo County had the fourth best save rate in the entire country to 2004 when euthanasia for space was zero! That was quite an accomplishment. However, we are finding it terrifically difficult to maintain a zero euthanasia rate. The wonderful dogs and cats we list on Petfinder are animals that were going to be surrendered to the pound, but the owners are giving us a short time to try to find a new home under our No Place Like Home program.

Denver Samoyed Rescue (DSR) was officially formed in 1993 to assist abandoned, unwanted, or otherwise neglected Samoyeds find new homes. The group functions as a committee of the Denver Samoyed Association (as approved by the DSA governing board) and works with individuals, local animal shelters, as well as the local All Breed Rescue Network, and the national Samoyed Club of America Rescue coordinator. In addition, DSR is licensed and regulated by the State of Colorado Department of Agriculture's Pet Animal Care Facilities Act (PACFA). It is also the goal of DSR to help educate the public about the Samoyed breed, to counsel owners who are considering surrendering their dogs to work through their problems so the dog may remain with them, and upon request, to aide law enforcement officials with evaluating bite cases. DSR also acts as a safety net for breeders who have lost track of a puppy they've placed, and as another possible source of information for owners who have lost their Samoyed. All dogs placed by DSR will be spayed or neutered before going to a new home, or a foster home, in order to prevent further overpopulation of the breed.

ASHEBORO BOXER RESCUE is a not for profit, however not a 501(c)3 as of yet. Asheboro Boxer Rescue was began by me, Angela Staley in 2000.,and in 2005 I was joined by Betty Ellis. I cant begin to count the precious baby's that we have helped to find forever homes. It's a wonderfull feeling, and one that we never want to forget. We have also lost a few that ripped our hearts apart, but we can't say we didnt try. At this point, we are all by ourselves without help.We desperately need foster homes!! Without the help of others, we cannot do this alone. Is your heart big enough to love? That's what it takes! Please email Angela at asheboroboxerrescue@yahoo.com, or Betty at cowgirlupx6@yahoo.com for info on how to become a foster parent.

We are a dedicated group of people with the goal of providing protection and refuge to homeless and abused animals. We provide shelter, veterinary care, and rehabilitation for life, or until someone like you comes and adopts one of our animals. NCARES is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Our primary focus as a new entity involves raising awareness in NC about the growing issue of dog fighting and the link that exists between animal abuse and violence against humans.
Dependent on donations, we also help low-income families pay for unaffordable veterinary care and low-cost spay/neuter of their pets, foster homeless animals until forever homes can be found, and arrange transport for rescued animals to their new homes, and for shelter animals to rescues.

City=Asheville | FosterHomes |
The first viable foster program in Asheville, we are wholly devoted to the placement of lost, stray, neglected and abandoned animals. The Foster Animal Network started out helping many different animals, but is now cat specific due to a reduction in our volunteer force. The Foster Animal Network has placed approximately 3000 animals over the past ten years, and is now faced with having to shut our doors
We need foster homes, people to answer our voice mailbox from the comfort of their own home, and someone(s) to be an incharge person, preferably with some shelter or veterinary experience.
