We also focus our efforts on feral cat colony management, employing the Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) philosophy. We have fully funded hundreds of spay/neuter surgeries for these cats and work on several colonies throughout the state of New Hampshire. After we assess, trap, neuter and board cats from a colony, we only return cats to areas that have a caregiver and adequate shelter. We also

Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit local pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. We are committed to finding permanent and happy homes for unwanted and homeless pets in our community. The organization was founded in 1997. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter, volunteers provide foster care for animals while they await placement. Pets come to us as strays, owner turn ins and from LA area shelters. We have dogs as well as cats available for adoption.

With the opening of our new shelter, Homeward Bound, a long-time dream has become a reality. However, the maintenance of our shelter and continuance of or spay/neuter programs require your help. The Manistee County Humane Society is a volunteer organization. We are not connected with any governmental agency or any other animal league. The money for maintaining the shelter and providing optimum care for the animals comes from donations. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.

The goal of the shelter is a simple one, to find loving homes for pets brought to us. Or find the owners of lost animals. Achieving that goal, with any margin of success, is not so simple. It takes hard work and money to feed and house the animals until we can place them in caring homes. Hopefully for most the shelter means a new lease on life in a new home, with a caring family. The shelter is only half of the solution to an ever growing problem. The other half of the solution is composed of volunteers, sponsors and most importantly, adoptive families. Also to educate the public on the intelligent and humane treatment of animals.
