Almaguin Animal Control ShelterThe Almaguin Animal Control Shelter covers South River, Sundridge, Magnetewan, Burks Falls and surrounding areas. It has been in operation since 1982. The main goal of the shelter is to provide a safe place for lost animals until they can be returned to their owners. This search is aided by the assitance of the local by-law officers. If an owner cannot be found the animal is temperment tested to see if it is adoptable.
