King's County Animal ControlAs animal control by-law enforcement officers, we are constantly in the position of deciding the fate of abandoned dogs. Over one hundred dogs typically pass through our pound each year. Of these dogs, about half are strays that get reclaimed by their owners. Ann and Pete's Foster Home for Animal AllianceAnn & Pete's Foster Home for Dogs is located in Pottageville, just North of Toronto, Ontario(Click Here for details) . We foster animals that are brought to us through Animal Alliance's Project Jessie Program. We rescue dogs from local pounds that are in danger of being sold for research. Knowing your local pound sells animals for research may come as a shock to you, but this is quite a common practice. Last year, we found homes for 240 dogs. We are strictly volunteers and receive no financial gains for our work.
