Over the years we have found homes for several unwanted and abandoned animals like Rex. He was left tied up behind a house when the owners moved away, with no forwarding address. The neighbors realized after a few days of feeding and watering him that the owners had no intention of coming back. Rex now has a new owner and is a happy member of a loving family in Lindsay.

The Queens SPCA was formed in October 1994.We are a "no kill" animal protection organization and a firm believer that adopting a pet is a privilege. Just because we are small in stature, doesn't mean we aren't big on love. Each of our adoptable animals is cared for as if it were part of our family.

Contrary to popular belief, the S.P.C.A. is not government funded. In fact, other than the general fees collected at the shelter, there is no steady source of income for the Society. Only through generous donations, fundraisers and grants are we able to continue paying our monthly bills, staff wages, building upgrades and maintenance, utility expenses, cleaning materials, pet food and supplies, veterinary fees, and all other miscellaneous costs.

The London Humane Society works to assist animals by providing them with a home until they can be adopted into a new family. We offer shelter and care, including medical care, to hundreds of animals each year, and respond to more than 1,000 complaints of animal cruelty. We rescue animals from bad situations, laying criminal charges when warranted. We also provide the community with information and education, believing that education, particularly of our young people, is one of the most effective ways to teach a sense of responsibility toward companion animals as well as a respect and compassion for all living beings. None of these important animal care programs would be possible, however, without the help of concerned and caring people like you.

Animalert was founded in London, Ontario, Canada in 1977 by four animal lovers who wanted to ensure that pets were adopted by caring guardians. We now have about 35 active members, plus our large network of volunteers, which helps us spread the word about our adoption program and to raise funds to offset our operating expenses. We are able to place about 250 cats and dogs a year into responsible, loving homes. Not bad for a volunteer group, but we'd like to do better and with your help, we can!

We believe every animal that is lost or intentionally abandoned deserves better than to die on the streets or live his/her last days out in the pound. It is not acceptable to feel well-adjusted in a sick society and just resign oneself to it without trying to improve its condition.

Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue requires that all our dogs are family companions. As such, we expect our dogs to be indoors when the family is not at home. We require a securely-fenced area. We do not adopt dogs to homes that do not have a fenced area suitable for the dog or are not willing to commit to installing such an area within the time specified during the trial adoption period.

The West Coast Spay and Neuter Society — SANS — is a volunteer-run registered charity established in 1990. We are guided by two principals: all life is valuable, and we are responsible for improving the quality of life for all those in our care. We make no judgement on whose life is worth rescuing and whose life is not. The sick, elderly and homely are as precious to us as the healthy, young and attractive. We rescue, shelter and nurture animals, and we are a no-kill shelter. Charitable Registration No: BN136121795RR0001
