The Fayette County Humane Society is an all volunteer, NON-PROFIT organization located in Fayetteville, Georgia, about 30 miles south of Atlanta. Our programs are supported entirely by fund raising and the generosity of individuals who share our concern for homeless animals. The society is dedicated to ending the needless suffering of unwanted pets by preventing surplus litters through our aggressive spay neuter program. We provide spay/neuter assistance and temporary foster care for rescued, homeless pets until they can be placed into permanent loving homes. All pets are given age appropriate tests, vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered (or arrangements are made for spay or neuter) prior to adoption.

To work to end the suffering of dogs and cats resulting from abuse, neglect, ignorance and pet overpopulation. To advocate the humane treatment of animals through (1) rescue of abandoned, neglected, and abused animals; (2) a spay/neuter assistance program; (3) promoting community awareness through humane education and (4) initiation and support of positive changes in local community municipal codes and state law regarding animal protection . Many of the animals that become a part of our program would not survive without our help. We rescue injured animals that are unable to get the help they require to heal and we rescue abused animals that don't know comfort and kindness and love

RescueCats, Inc. is a no-kill, nonprofit, licensed by GA Dept of AG, organization whose main focus is educating the public about proper treatment of animals, which includes addressing pet overpopulation issues and the importance of spay and neutering. We provide temporary care for orphaned and owner released kittens and cats. Foster care, including shelter, food/water, love, and necessary medical care is given to each animal until it can be adopted into a suitable home. Cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV (Feline Leukemia & Feline Aids), dewormed, vaccinated for RCPC (distemper combo)& Rabies(if old enough), Bordetella, treated for fleas, ear mites, and anything else that might be necessary prior to adoption. The animals are spayed or neutered to stop the cycle of overpopulation and to improve the overall health of the cat or kitten. Each potential adopter is required to submit an adoption application, pay a standard fee, and agree to house the animal indoors.
