Supplies for your new Cat
Canine Lovers is a not-for-profit rescue organization that helps displaced and abused animals in the Midlands. We are in need of loving, permanent homes for our rescued pets. We do not euthanize any pets and love all that come in to our rescue until such time they are adopted into loving homes. Our pets are treated as children and we expect the adoptive homes to do the same. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets please email us for an application. All applicants must submit to a homevisit prior to adoption and furnish references. If you are looking for a breed we do not have available we are happy to refer you to other rescue organizations in your area. Thank you for considering adopting one of our wonderful pets!

"F. I. D. O." does not have a physical shelter. We are a small individual rescue located in the midlands of South Carolina. We have been in operation, rescuing and placing pets since 1974. The pets with us are either in-home fostered or are boarded in local kennels while waiting for placement. Some are fortunate to spend this time in a foster home, but there are never enough volunteers to handle the amount of puppies, young and adult dogs, who need a temporary place. All pets are spayed or neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on all shots including kennel cough, fecal negative and on flea/tick prevention monthly, as well as heartworm prevention.

Many pet problems are due to overpopulation. Pure and simple. And the solution to this is just as simple. Spay & Neuter. It's just not a complicated matter. But it must be addressed on a grand scale. Rescuing and placing 25 or 30 animals a year is inadequate. If we are to end the misery we must be willing to commit to a long term solution to overpopulation.
PETS, Inc. has developed programs to address the problems from the point of rescue, through the rehabilitation and adoption processes and then, going a step further, to insure the animal has a reasonably good chance for successful integration into the family by addressing its training and emotional needs.
We want to be sure that our involvement with the adoptive family will positively impact the way they will interact with their future pets as well.
We believe that most people who do not provide properly for their pets simply don't understand their animal's basic nature, instincts and emotional as well as physical needs. It is our mission to assist people with their pets through education, counseling, training assistance and low-cost health care.
