Animals in Crisis, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the welfare of companion animals. We are a volunteer organization - none of our members receive salary or reimbursement for the tireless work they do for the animals. We exist on donations from people like you who are also concerned about the animals. All donations are completely tax-deductible.Our mission is simple: To spay and neuter as many cats as possible. To feed and provide shelter and vet care for these cats. To educate people that cats are not disposable creatures and need to be spayed/neutered and cared for.

Our all-volunteer group began as a food bank for homeless animals. For twelve years, we worked under the umbrella of a City shelter. This work contributed to the welfare of small animals in a number of significant ways: underwriting facility improvements, offering low and no-cost spay/neuter certificates and food supplies, and promoting humane education within the community. In July of 1995, our group was officially incorporated as C.A.R.E., Inc., a non-profit, all-volunteer organization with the department of the Sate.

Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association (PACCA) is the City of Philadelphia's contracted animal control shelter. Taking in almost 30,000 animals each year, PACCA sees the greatest number of homeless, abandoned and orphaned animals in our area. When you adopt your new best friend from PACCA, you are truly saving a life that may not have had a chance without your kindness.
