Mountains Humane Societyhe Mountains' Humane Society was formed in 1975 by a group of mountain residents who shared a concern for the welfare of local cats and dogs. Their purpose was to provide humane care for the animals, to seek to return lost pets to their owners, and to seek homes for animals without owners. A phone service was begun. The progress of the organization has been controlled by the availability of funding. SOUNDS OF SILENT SPIRITS RESCUE AND SANCTUARYWe are a small, no-kill, Tax Exempt REPTILE & Exotic Bird Rescue. We receive animals from Sheriff & Fire Dept. Personnel, Veterinarians, BLM, Fish & Game employees and County Animal Control Officers. Some of these animals have been hit by cars or off-road vehicles, maliciously used for target practice, munched by dogs or cats and some have simply been abused or released inhumanely by irresponsible owners. Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee, IncThe Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee's mission is to control the dog and cat population by funding spay and neuter procedures and by altering all animals that we rescue. These animals include strays, pets that are turned over to us by their owners, and some that we rescue from city and county shelters. Some of our funding helps limited income pet owners cover the cost of spay or neuter procedures. Our volunteer work includes providing funds for emergency medical care of dogs and cats, providing foster housing for rescued animals, and hosting adoption shows to find good homes for rescued animals. Redlands Animal ShelterThe Redlands Animal Shelter is responsible for control and adoption of all stray and owner turn-in animals within the City of Redlands. There are many adoptable cats and kittens as well as great adoptable dogs and puppies at the shelter. The City does not have its animals posted on it's own website at this time therefore these pages are provided by volunteers to showcase the animals.
