Big Canoe is an 8,700 acre mountain resort community located in the mountains of North Georgia about an hour north of Atlanta. While the community is gated, it is not fenced, allowing the free migration of all manner of wildlife. Along with the deer, wild turkeys and bear we also get a number of dogs and cats that wander in. If these animals seem to be in distress of any kind, our residents and security personnel will transport them to the Big Canoe Animal Rescue shelter which was established a number of years ago for the purpose of offering food, shelter and medical care for animals in need.

Big Dogs Animal Rescue was started in 2002 as an all-breed all-animal rescue. Our Mission is to save adoptable animals from euthanasia by providing them with a loving foster home where they will be well taken care of until a suitable forever home is found.
We do require that a home visit be performed before most adoptions are approved, therefore we can only take applications from potential adopters in the Southeastern WI and Northeastern IL areas at this time.

Big Hearts is simply one person trying to make a difference in the lives of animals. We are not a shelter but a contact. If you have a cat or dog who needs a help, contact us and we can help you find a home for that animal. We offer assisstance negotiating the confusing world of pet rescue. We offer options on how to find that animal a home. I can also post an animal under Big Hearts for you. Please, no breeders or people trying to make a profit. Big Hearts Animal Rescue (BHAR) does not claim responsibility for the reliablity of the pet's profile. Often a BHAR represenative has not met the animal, done a personality check, or valiadated that the animal has recieved the vet care claimed. It is the current owner of the animal to be truthful about the animal's disposition, personality, and medical records. Potential adopters are encouraged to check out the facts out for themselves.

BIG HEARTS Rescue was founded in the summer of 2007. Based in Pasco County, Florida, our non-profit organization is made up of volunteers who freely give their love, time, and support in order to rehabilitate, foster, and ultimately give a better life to needy animals. Through action and education, we hope to not only to educate the public on animal-related issues, but to help foster an atmosphere of understanding and mutual respect for the plight of needy animals. Many of our fosters are special needs and we hope you consider adopting one of them. Just one person can help make the difference for many animals that cannot help themselves.

Bingo's Foundation, Ltd., is a non-profit 501(c) cat rescue group run solely by volunteers. Incorporated in February of 2001, we are a no-kill organization with the goal of becoming self sufficient, so we may open a large facility to house homeless cats until we find good permanent homes for our cats; and we want to offer a low cost spay/neuter clinic in Bucks County. Currently Bingo's Bungalow, a temporary haven for our cats, allows us to provide shelter, medical care, food, love and socialization to the homeless and abandoned cats of Bucks County and the surrounding area. All of the cats and kittens that enter the bungalow are tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, spayed or neutered (if age appropriate) and updated with their vaccines.

Bishop Animal Shelter is a privately run non-profit animal adoption shelter founded in 1958 by two special people - Edward E. and Lillian H. Bishop. Their love and caring for animals resulted in their establishing the Bishop Animal Shelter. The land comprising almost 40 acres was formerly a citrus grove owned by the family. It was decided by the Bishops to be the perfect place for the increasing number of homeless dogs in the county
