MARYPAWS Animal Adoptions is a rescue organization dedicated to helping unwanted animals find loving and permanent homes. Working with our strategic partners in Western North Carolina, we have helped hundreds of homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens avoid homelessness. Please help us by spaying/neutering your pets, making a donation if you can, or by offering one of our adoptable animals a place in your heart and your home.

Mary's Kids, an extension of MaryLand Farm in Mansfield, Texas works with area agencies and non-profits to primarily assist displaced barnyard animals. We also occasionally foster and place dogs and cats in appropriate homes. Most of our animals are pygmy goats, chickens and horses that need infant care, rehabilitation, or transition into new homes.

We operate a small rescue organization that is determined to help unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out, and their destiny is deemed perilous. Some animals come from local shelters and others form distant shelters, still others are displaced homeless animals found wandering the streets. All the animals are "fostered" out of volunteer's homes. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to normal family life.

We are the Mason, Texas, City Animal Control Shelter. Our facility is modest and our animal control officer isn't always available at the shelter, so all our pets must be seen by appointment. We make every effort to make this convenient for you, so please don't hesitate to call--we want all our pets to get good forever homes.

We are a high intake county shelter and need rescue help!
We are NOT a no-kill shelter. Our county commission limits us to 50 dogs and 36 cats max!
Without LOTS of rescue help and adoptions, it will be IMPOSSIBLE for us to maintain the population at this level without euthanizing.
Residents, if you need to surrender an animal, we STRONGLY SUGGEST that you reach out to rescues and no-kill shelters via Petfinder for assistance in rehoming your pet.
Rescues typically keep animals in foster homes rather than a shelter environment. This is a healthier environment and much less stressful for your pet than going into a crowded, noisy shelter.

The Mason County Animal Welfare League is a small shelter in a very rural part of West Virginia. We have many wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption. We are very rescue friendly too. We try to place as many adoptable animals as possible. Please visit our website to see their pictures and descriptions. The shelter is located at 1965 Fairground Road, off Route 2, across from the Farm Museum. The map link URL gives directions to the Farm Museum because our street name does not seem to be listed on any internet map websites.
