We are a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. We are a no-kill organization which means that we only euthanize for humane reasons (severe health reasons). Our animals are never euthanized simply because they are unwanted. We now do adoptions 7 days a week from noon to 5 PM (summer hours until 6PM). We use foster homes in addition to the pets being at our adoption center so they are not caged daily. All of our cats are combo tested plus they are already spayed/neutered and microchiped. Vaccinations will be at least started. All this is included in the adoption fee. A spay/neuter certificate is not needed.

We hope to make a difference for the many homeless cats crowding the shelters and surviving the alleys, parks, and buildings of our community. The National Foundation for Animal Rescue (NFFAR) is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in northern New Jersey. NFFAR is an all-foster network committed to helping cats and dogs in need of homes. While NFFAR strives to receive grants, it is a very small portion of our total funding. Individual donations are our most important source of income.
Our purpose is to provide medical assistance, foster homes, and adoption services to previously lost, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals in the New Jersey area as well as assisting animals and people in other states. These animals are dependant on our commitment to care for them.
