Big Canoe Animal RescueBig Canoe is an 8,700 acre mountain resort community located in the mountains of North Georgia about an hour north of Atlanta. While the community is gated, it is not fenced, allowing the free migration of all manner of wildlife. Along with the deer, wild turkeys and bear we also get a number of dogs and cats that wander in.
