NOAH'S ARC, INCNOAH'S ARC is a nonprofit 501c (3), "NO-KILL", animal rescue organization founded in 1991, as an alternative to animal shelters. We have grown from 6 members to over 400 in and out of Tennessee. We are funded solely from donations and fundraisers with 100% of money raised going directly to improving the health and lives of rescued animals. Since 1991, we have placed over 3,200 rescue animals, (many with handicaps or special needs), into quality, loving homes. The purposes of Noah's Arc have expanded to encompass the rescue of abandoned, abused, injured or impaired animals; provide medical attention; find foster or permanent homes for the animals; educate the local public regarding pet overpopulation; and provide low or no cost spaying/neutering of ARC animals and community pets. NOAH'S ARC animals are housed at our Dog Harbor and Cat Haven locations. Northwood Animal Hospital Good Sam ProgramWe are a full service veterinary hospital that is committed to helping as many sick and injured animals as we can through our Good Samaritan program. Generally, animals are brought to us by people ("Good Sams") who find them and we fix them up and adopt them out when they are healthy. All the animals we adopt out are up to date on their vaccines, have negative fecal exams, are dewormed and are flea-free. Our adoption fees are between $45 and $150 depending on the age, species and breed. We require that all pets we adopt out be spayed or neutered prior to adoption if they are old enough or that a deposit be left to ensure they will be spayed/neutered at the appropriate age.
