Effingham County Animal Control ShelterThe pets at our shelter are both strays and owner turn-ins. Strays must be kept a minimum of 3 days before they are available for adoption. Adoption fee is $25 for dogs and cats. Any pet adopted must be spayed/neutered at the adoptor's expense. P.A.L.S. Pet Adoption and Lifecare SocietyP.A.L.S. was founded 1996 and received non-profit status in Jan 2000. Over the years we have been able to placed hundreds cats and over 50 dogs into loving homes a year. Our animals are often placed in foster homes until permanent homes can be found. All of our cats are FeLV/FIV negative unless otherwise noted under special needs. Pet Adoption Alliance of SpringtownThe Adoption Alliance of Springtown is a non-profit animal welfare and rescue organization established and manned strictly by volunteers. We provide the love and necessities for each adoptable pet to grow and socialize until they are adopted into permanent, loving homes. We rescue from the euthanasia lists of the local shelters and only accept surrenders from the public as a last resort for the animal. Pets available through our organization were saved from euthanasia do to over-crowding, medical necessities, pregnancy, or because they were picked up as strays and the owners could not be found, not because they are not loving creatures in need.
