Nashville Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing as many cats and kittens as we can from off the streets and from high-kill shelters. All cats and kittens receive superb veterinary care before they are adopted out to the public. Each cat that comes through our program will be tested for FIV/FeLV, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, given flea preventative, and given all necessary vaccinations.

The BCHS was incorporated in 1966. The current shelter was built in 1987. An extensive renovation was completed in 2000. We are the only humane organization servicing the Brown County area. The mission of the Brown County Humane Society is to be a community resource dedicated to promoting the welfare of all animals in our county. We provide temporary shelter to pets in need and promote adoption of homeless pets into loving, permanent homes. We advocate respect for animals through public education concerning responsible pet ownership. We support and promote spaying and neutering to ultimately eliminate pet overpopulation in our community.

A group of caring individuals dedicated to relieving the suffering of feral, abandoned and homeless cats in the Middle Tennessee area. We provide neutering and medical care for each cat and kitten we take in. Pets are placed in loving, forever homes. Feral's are released back where they came from when possible or relocated to a safer setting when needed. Caretakers feed and look after these feral's for the rest of their lives. We assist people in bring their feral/cat populations under control by providing them with information about services in their area and physical assistance when needed. Educating people about feral and homeless cat issues is a very important part of what we do. We believe that the pet over-population problem is not an animal problem, but is a people problem, and that only people can fix it.
