Los Banos Animal ShelterLos Banos Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter that receives a lot of help from the volunteers. We are a very small shelter in a growing city. Our volunteers have opened the shelter on Saturdays for adoptions. We groom and exercise the dogs, which also help us evaluate them for placement. We also work with several rescues in an effort to save the lives of adoptable animals. Sante Dor FoundationSanté D’or was conceptualized during the summer of 2002. Three women seeking opportunities with animals met whilst volunteering their time at a local no-kill animal shelter for dogs. Being quick learners, they managed to handle the daily operations of a shelter, including extensive breed knowledge and skills surrounding animals. Capital District Humane Association, Inc. (CDHA)The Capital District Humane Association is the oldest, all volunteer, no-kill, private animal welfare group dedicated to serving the Capital Region of New York State. We are incorporated, approved by the ASPCA of NY and registered as a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Charity with New York State; therefore all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are an all-volunteer rescue group that operates strictly on public support. Therefore, all donations go directly to the care of the animals. Our goal is to find every animal a loving home. We take in animals on a space available basis and keep them an unlimited amount of time until the right home can be found. CDHA has saved hundreds of animals since 1988. We have rescued cats, dogs, horses, pigs, cows, and other animals.
