The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.

We have a board of 8 officers and we try to help the cats in Erie County. We take in strays or hurt animals and put them up for adoption. We have 2 places that we show our cats at.One is a pet store and the other is a Vets office. We are pretty full at the moment. But try to help people who call or give them advice on what they can do. Take a look at our web page for other info.
