Adopt A Stray is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in South Florida, founded by a small group of experienced volunteers. Since we do not yet have a shelter we operate as a foster care program, working to deal with the stray overpopulation by taking unwanted and unloved dogs and cats off the streets. Our foster homes provide temporary safe refuge until they are placed in a permanent loving home. Adopt A Stray relies exclusively on private donations to provide food and medical care, including the spay/neuter of adoptable pets and feral cats. There are no administration fees or professional fund-raisers to pay. 100% of all donations go directly to the care of our animals

Animal Adoption Network of Kentuckiana is a not-for-profit, all volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for cats in the Kentuckiana area. In addition to rescuing and adopting cats and kittens, we also provide education regarding cat care, assistance with low-cost spay/neuter programs, and referrals to other organizations and resources. Animal Adoption Network operates solely with the help of public donations and volunteers. Currently, we need a good qualitly digital camera, donation of printing 1,000 brochures, or the money to have this done.

CompAnimals began as a Senior Pet Rescue in 1999. CompAnimals has gone on to rescue over 650 more unwanted pets. We have expanded to help all animals in need but specialize in the "unadoptables": cats & dogs missing hair, animals needing surgery prior to adoption, missing limbs or eyes, sick kittens or puppies that don't have a chance at the shelter, any animal that just needs a little extra TLC before finding that forever home. Of course we won't turn away a perfectly healthy dog or cat who, through no fault of his own has found himself on death row. And we still have a soft spot for that graying muzzle...

T.H.A.R. is a new organization starting in 2004 by Jamie Peterson. In our area we have no county or regional animal control and very few city organizations, so I have, with help from many, started this group. My goal is to help rehabilitate and place displaced, neglected or abused animals of all sizes from rodentia to equine and all in between.
