Shelter is for strays, but we do take some owner surrenders. Contract with small area towns to take their strays. All animals are held for 72 hours and then put up for adoption. We do euthanize, but only when we run out of kennel space, as in the case of unadoptable animals

Our mission at Colville Pet Refuge is to rescue dogs and place them into suitable homes where they will be lovingly treated. Our other emphasis is to make sure the dogs are spayed or neutered and have current immunizations. By the end of 2005, after being in business for less than two years, we had saved about 700 dogs. CPR is a non-profit organization of unpaid volunteers and exists solely on donations
