Less than 35% of shelter animals are adopted.Some 6 - 8 million adoptable dogs and cats were euthanized last year. This is mainly due to pets not being spayed or neutered, and people who abandon or give up pets because of lack of commitment to training the pet. Having pets spayed or neutered is the way to reduce this tragedy. Save a Dog, Save a CatSADSAC was formed in order to help save adoptable pets on an occasional basis. Every once in a while, I would become involved in a situation where a pet was to be needlessly euthanized, and I found myself trying to find a rescue group that could help. Now I am the one to try to offer help. Our focus is to save lives and prevent litters.
