Tassie's Hope Animal Rescue was founded in October, 2002. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, comprised 100% of volunteers. Our rescued pets make their way to us from a myriad of backgrounds and circumstances. Every animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and receives any other testing or medical care that is needed.

Texas Maine Coon Rescue is not a shelter, but a group of volunteers who foster kitties in our homes until permanent homes can be found. No adoptable animal is ever euthanized because a permanent home cannot be found. All of our cats available for adoption are current on their vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV, and spayed/neutered

We are a small, informal 501(3)(c) pending non-profit rescue group. Although most of our rescues are healthy kitties, we specialize in rescuing cats and kittens deemed unacceptable by animal control facilities and other groups.
These animals may simply be the wrong color - for example, black cats often take longer to rehome - or they may have special needs. They may be FIV positive, have a chronic medical condition like diabetes or stomatitis, have some physical scars acquired before rescue, or recovering from an abusive past.
