We are a non profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals. We depend totally on donations and the kindness of the people in the area we serve. We provide a number of services that can not be found at just any shelter. We pick up stray animals, we offer a low cost spay neuter program, we have live traps for rent, we sell county dog licenses, we offer lost and found services, and animal cruelty investigations as well as many other public services. If you are interested in employing any of our services, feel free to call us 7 days a week from 10 am to 3 pm. We are dedicated to saving as many animals as we can. We hope to find them loving permanent new homes that they can enjoy and where they can enrich the lives of the people who adopt them. We accept all animals - strays and owner turn in - and WILL NOT refuse any animal regardless of temperment, health, age, or facility capacity!

Animals in Distress is a non-profit, tax deductible sanctuary for animals who have little or no hope elsewhere. Its programs are designed to prevent suffering and to save lives. We believe that there is a special home somewhere for every pet if there is enough time to find it. We keep every animal admitted, providing medical care, behavioral rehabilitation, good food, shelter, and, most important of all, love, until a suitable new home can be found. No animal is killed because it is unwanted, too old, or injured.
