The PSPCA is a “low kill shelter. Each week all PSPCA satellite shelters transfer orphaned animals to our Philadelphia Headquarters where the demand is greater. We also work closely with no-kill shelters in our area and breed placement orginizations. This has resulted in a greatly reduced euthanasia rate, however animals still may need to be euthanized should the numbers surrendered outstrip our ability to adopt out and transfer to other shelters. Our transfer program allows each branch shelter the opportunity to offer more personal care for the many orphaned, sick and injured animals we receive. The PSPCA makes every effort to find homes for animals that are healthy and free of behavior problems. Many of the sick and injured animals we receive are provided with medical care (and/or behavioral treatment) and rehabilitated. Animals are euthanized if they are to sick to rehabilitate or to aggressive to adopt into a new home.

At the PSPCA, we believe proper pet care should be accessible and affordable for everyone. So we offer many low-cost and free services to animal lovers throughout the state. How? Through the generous and continued support of our friends and donors, whose help we appreciate tremendously. Without you, we'd be unable to provide many of our services and programs. A simple "thank you" would be an ineloquent understatement of our gratitude, but we'll say it anyway: thank you!

PAWS primary mission is to eliminate the suffering caused by the pet over-population tragedy by providing a low cost spay/neuter program. Our adoption animals result from unwanted litters, strays, and owner surrenders. PAWS tries to find the best match for both the new owner and the pet. To accomplish this we require all pets in the household be spayed/neutered and that the pets be kept indoors. We also check veterinary records for existing pets, references, and the landlord's pet policy. All of our pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Angel Pet Services is is a small, multi-breed, Dog and Cat Rescue, located in Dauphin, PA, which is in South Central Pennsylvania, about 10 miles Northwest of Harrisburg, PA. Angel Pet Services adopts rescued pets to compassionate homes where they will live indoors, spending time near the people they love. We are looking for Adoption Partners, ie Individuals or families who want to work with Angel Pets to save lives of homeless pets through kindness and patience, and who will not demand perfection. Our goal is a successful adoption, which means the pet is happy in the new home and the new family members (including any other pets already in the home) are happy with the new pet.

Founded in July of 2000, we are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of all animals through education and awareness. Since one of our main concerns is pet overpopulation, we have created a low cost spay/neuter program. In addition, we have also created a children's educational program to teach children how to take care of their pets and respect all animals.
