Churubusco Shelter is located in Churubusco, NY. It is a small municipal kennel located within the Highway Dept. garage. The dogs that can be found there are ones that have been picked up by animal control. This shelter has three options for its animals- reissue, adopt or euthanize. Currently most animals offered by Hearts Path Rescue are at foster homes or rescuers homes. A few animals remain at thier current owners homes and are trying to be placed for the animals benefit. We do not have a shelter facility so I am unable to accomodate all that need placement at this time nor do we have a budget

There are many people who do not even know the The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter exists or mistakenly believe we are the SPCA. The shelter is owned and operated by the City of Buffalo and has come a long way since the old days of the "Dog Pound".
