The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit 501c3 corporation. Our mission is to rescue the not-so-young homeless dogs that are often overlooked at most animal shelters. We have shown that people will adopt and love older dogs. We look for dogs that are usually 5 years and older although we also take younger dogs , and the occasional puppy or cat. We frequently place our pets with senior citizens although being a senior is not a requirement for adopting our dogs.

St. Louis Jack Russell Rescue is affiliated with Russell Rescue. Inc. , and Missouri Earthdogs Rescue. In addition to being a foster organization for Jack Russells who need new homes, we are also available as a resource for education and assistance to those of you already lucky enough to be owned by one of these wonderful "terrier-ists", or to give you the information you need to decide if this is really the breed for you. We have kennel facilities in the country on 65 acres at Blackburn Farm, with lots of room for play and rehabilitation, and rescue dogs waiting for a new home live with us or with one of our network of foster families in the St. Louis area.

The City of Pevely Animal Shelter rescues animals for the incorporated city limits of Pevely, Missouri. We impound homeless or lost animals from the Pevely area. However adoptions are available to ALL GOOD PET PARENTS. We are always happy to find special people who are willing to be a foster parent to one of these babies in their home or facitlity. This insures a new life for a homeless animal. A kennel life is cruel and when we run out of space, they absolutly have no chance. If you are interested in saving a pet and would like to be a foster parent please contact us. If you are looking for a new baby to adopt, stop reading and call us now! When you adopt an animal from a Municipal Animal Control Shelter you will be saving it's life! Our goal is to save unwanted animals by adoptions and to prevent unwanted animals by sterilization.

Our shelter, 20 minutes West of St. Louis County, takes in about 4,000 lost, dumped in the country, and otherwise abandoned or unwanted but perfectly loving and adoptable pets each year, including many purebreds. We shelter and care for them, provide health care and love, and try to return home or adopt out as many as we can. We sponsor spay/neuter programs in the area to cut down on the number of litters, and and educate the community about responsible pet ownership. We participate in adoption events in the St. Louis area each weekend, and place as many pets as we can on Petfinder.com. We are funded ONLY by private donations and fees - we get no tax support or donations from HSUS, ASPCA, United Way, or other large charitable groups. Please visit our website to learn more about our animals and our shelter, or to make a paypal donation to help us save more lives! And as always, we need more volunteers! Come and check us out!

Since 1870, the Humane Society of Missouri is dedicated to second chances. We provide a safe and caring haven to all animals in need - large and small - that have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Our mission is to end the cycle of abuse and pet overpopulation through our rescue and investigation efforts, spay/neuter programs and educational classes. We are committed to creating lasting relationships between people and animals through our adoption programs. We further support that bond by making available world-class veterinary care, and outstanding pet obedience and behavior programs. The animals thank you for your support.
