Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA)We are an all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Great Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness. Our pets are either in foster homes or one of several boarding facilities that we work with. Basts TreasuresOur first rescue was in 1987. Bast's Treasures was put into operation in 1992 when we discovered that many shelters routinely euthanize unweaned kittens due to a lack of manpower. We specialize in kittens newborn to 5 weeks. We foster them in a loving cage free home-like atmosphere until they are old enough to place.
